The little prince is really the book of books. I was not aware of the book until my wedding. The priest used the fox part in her sermon. A few days later i borrowed from my brother his worn paperback copy of " Den lille prins" (The title in danish). A few years later my brother died in an airplane crash, and the book is now the one i cherish most

In high school French class we had to read Le Petit Prince. I had no clue what was going on. Later in college, other students were reading The Little Prince. I wasn't interested since the discussion from French class seemed kinda boring.
I just read the exerpt you had on your web page and wanted to read more.
Just as parents get smarter as we grow, good literature also gets better as we mature.
I was disappointed that you had to remove the story. I would have stayed up all night and read it. Not so sure I'll get to the book store and purchase a copy but maybe...
Thanks for having at least this much for me to get another exposure to this lovely story.

It's very very sad that adults don't understand the importance of The Little Prince. If they could only understand that - but they can't! - the world would be a much better place to live.
Everything that counts is sayd in few words... "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

I am a 14 year old girl from the Philippines and I read in your mail that you will give that good for nothing Gallimard a private mail containing the copy of the webpages, am I right? If you are, please send me one, too. I really am a fan of the book and the author. IWhenever I read the book, I always cry because of the message and of the way the story goes. I believe that it must be given much praise because of its good message and values instilled to the mind of the reader. Anyway, I hope this page will be up soon. And thanks for everything... I unfortunetly do not have the honor or pleasure of admiring and awing at the site of your beautiful pages. I am a last year student at high school in Toronto, Canada. We are just reading The Little Prince for French class. It is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. It's simplicity is so beautiful yet possesses a complexity that touches the soul and amazes the mind. I believe that your pages were of great help and beauty and it is so unfortunate that they had to close. This event just reinforces the fact that just like the grown-ups, some people are only considered about the surface of life itself and inflict greed upon the world. I just wish they'd see things in a different light. Thanx.:-)

Hi!
It's really sad to know that the little price pages are erased. I hope to find out more about the Little Prince.
I've never thought the story of the little price could be so touching to my heart! I have many questions about the story - why is the little price so determined to leave? Actually, I find it hard to accept the sad feeling that he has to kill himself in order to go back to his planet. Why should there be such an ending? Anyway, I love the philosophical message conveyed, thanks Little Prince!

Though I have not read "The Little Prince," I was doing some personal research on it and I stumbled upon your site. However, I do agree with your opinion in that all people should have some sort of access to great literature; perhaps not to read it online, but just to know the novel before they purchase it--that is actually why I was doing the research. I wish I would have been able to see the site--I'm sure it would have been wonderful.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUU,
I'm French but here I feel sorry to be ....
Le Petit Prince is my favorite book and I read it at least once a year, and I give it to friends, family, lovers, studients, and so on as a gift... A gift for their life.
I feel sorry b/c Gallimard should at least had answer in your language... They have enough classified people to do so.
But they are surely afraid of the "wild" wold wide even if they badly contribute to it... And I'm sure they will find one hundred raisons to excuse themself to be so unsharing, selfish... They don't look inside their heart and forget what is important as soon as they get into their "working planet's".
I'm sure they look like monsters...inside... so outside too !
They surely have not read this extraordinary book, and I'm glad you wisely gave them this advice ... b/c we will be happy to count them in "le Petit Prince" lover's... if they want to make the effort of an inside reflexion !!!
I feel sorry b/c I also think it's important for anybody to be able to at least have a chance to read, even one sentence of this book.
Here is my secret, a very simple secret : it's only with the heart that one can see rightly ; the essential is invisible to the eyes.
Thanks

Bravo for your site, I really enjoyed it.
I am really disgusted by the fact Gallimard ordered you to remove the original text. The answer in french, in a lawyer style, where as your letter was in english, is an insult to the spirit of this book.
I would have really enjoyed to read part of this book in different languages. Leaving in Germany, I can find only the original version for instance. Whereas your site allowed me to have them.

Hola, Antonio.

Hi,
I've read the book of Petit Prince and other books of St.Exupery. I adore him and especially his Petit Prince.
I really think that inside St.Exupery lived the spirit of Petit Prince. The way St.Exupery expressed things that most adults have forgotten that once they were little kids, was genuinely done in his Petit Prince novel.
I really like the fact that children see things differently from adults. Unfortunately this 'different way' of seeing things changes with our age - which is a real shame!
Thus, it is a good job for you, Antonio, to keep up your homepage and your spirit of introducing the Petit Prince to the world.
We all shall learn the tenderness of St.Exupery and how rare a person like him might exist in this planet!
If only all adults were little children again...
they would probably understand your purpose of maintaining your homepage of Petit Prince...
BRAVO!

Hello !
Sorry for my very bad english, but I understand you cannot speak french, so I make an effort for you...
I have just discovered your site about my favourite, this so marvellous book The Little Prince. I am very fond of "Monsieur" St Ex, and, everytime I read his words, it is always so moving, it makes me full of hopes, dreams, beauty and love. All these values that are missing so much around us ! Today, I am astonished by the stupid reaction of the Gallimard Editions : it smells fear and absolute authority, in complete contradiction with what it is said in the book !!! I am very surprised that they did not suggest to manage a partner agreement or something like that with you, to allow all the people everywhere and anytime to have the pleasure to go inside that wonderful world. And they did not create their own site yet about that book ! What a pity ! Personnally I do not think that a web site can compete with a book, as a book is so private, you can touch it, you can bring it with you everywhere, a book is living. Can anybody answer me: What was the name of St Ex's
plane (perhaps the last one?). Was it "sredni vashtar"
or another Saki-related name (or, maybe a Rudyard Kipling
related name?).

I searched the web for The Little Prince to inspire a friend to read the book for herself and her family
( only to also inspire myself to go home tonight and reread mine) but it is with great heaviness in my heart
that I find people are being demanded to take all references to The Little Prince off of their web pages. Surely
being able to share a love of great literature should be allowed. It is a tremendous tragedy for us all that the
publishing gurus can and do restrict our world so much. Shame Shame!!!

There is always somehing new to find in it if you read it with your heart not with your eyes. What a delightful web page. Don't go away !

Caro Massimo,
Ciao !!! Carlo.

Hi Antonio,
I am very sorry you had to remove your page, as I am also a Little Prince lover.
Don't they understand that Little Prince belongs to Human Kind and they can't own him?
The phrase I most like is: "As for me, if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked, I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water."
Warm regards,

Antonio,
Please don't get upset because of that "lawyer."
He's too much a "grown-up"...
Although I do not have the chance to see your page, from the guestbook entries that you've posted in the e-mail, I know that your work must have been wonderful...
Just want you to know,
no matter how "other" people might think of you (or your action), I'll always support what you've attempted to accomplish!
"This is, to me, the loveliest and saddest landscape in the world...And, if you should come upon this spot, please do not hurry on. Wait for a time, exactly under the star. Then, if a little man appears who laughs, who has golden hair and who refuses to answer questions, you will know who he is. If this should happen, please comfort me. Send me word that he has come back..."
I guess, now, it's the time for me to send Antoine a word that the little prince -- has come back.
Keep smiling! =)

I am not sure if you are aware of a poem, named "The Little Prince" by a poet named Deb Westbury who wrote a poem based on "The Little Prince". I am currently studying this poem for my English class and would like to know where I could get a copy of "The Little Prince" online or in any format, but not one where I have to pay? Can you send a PDF or text transcript of "The Little Prince" to me through my email? honchook[at]hotmail.com It would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

The Little Prince isn't just any book... it's a lesson on how to live our lives!!! Reading the guestbook, it seems that many people are reading the book for the sake of some school research or whatever project they have... I hope they do bother to really appreciate the book rather than just read it for the sake of obtaining a good project grade!!! Otherwise the essence of the book would have been lost!!!
Anyway, I collect different versions of the little prince. I have a few different chinese versions of the book available if anyone is interested in exchanging. Contact me if you are interested! thelittleprinz[at]yahoo.co.uk

I love this book it is my absolute favorite in all the world. I have shared it with all my friends, and finally got a copy of my own last Christmas. I wanted my little sister to read it but I don't think she grasped the whole idea, I'll make her read it again when she's older. I recently discovered there was a movie made from the book, with Bob Fosse and Gene Wilder, is it any good? I found some reviews, but they were all negative. Anyways, I am very pleased to see an internet site devoted to my favorite book. :)

I have seen this book translated into all languages, and I think it is so important that people read it.
This book has meant so much to me. I am sure that Antoine Saint De-Exupery would agree, it belongs to the people.

Ciao
un futuro avvocato.

Un singur lucru:atata vreme cat Micul Print e in sufletul tau,vei avea un prieten de nadejde;
