I don't understand why you make the link to the Gallimard Homepage in your homepage. They don't deserve to get publicity. Giving people some pleasure just by reading other people's comments or looking at some pictures from the book is not commercialising. So why forbiding it ?!
All the best.

Hi Antonio, I read your mail (about the copyright of the Little Prince.)
I really do feel so sorry for you. The little prince is one of my favorite novel
(Although I don't read novel much. I'm lazy to read long long story,
but I could finished and enjoy reading the Little Prince.)
I read it in my language (Thai) when I was in Bangkok. You see, how well known it is!!
The illustration and the story impressed me a lot.

I'm here in front of the computer to search for something about the Little Prince.
I'm not going to use it for any commercial at all, but for the presentation for my class.
This novel impressed me so much that I want my all American classmates in USA to know it too.

I feel like I hate the bussiness world, but I try to understand the novel protector
(actually, deep inside my heart, I do feel hate him)

What you did was very very good. I hope you will keep doing good things for other people as you did.

FIGHT!!!
G! Antonio GO!

:-)

I'm one of the people who stand beside you!!

The Little Prince is my favorite book.
It is funny that the business men from Galimard discard FREE ADVERTISEMENT for their product (the book!)
To forbid putting the complete book online is understandable, but to forbid to talk about it and to put a single drawing from Saint-Ex to illustrate the site is a non-sense!
The ideas from the Little Prince tale can't be owned by anybody, just like the stars

Messagge from Piet Slaghekke at leguana[at]earthling.net

I am sorry to hear of your struggle with G.
Maybe you should have never asked them for the rights. I know there are more little prince sites, and a little prince webring.
The publishers are probably too 'grown up' to understand the good that your site has to offer.
Maybe you should contact a public relations person from the publishers and speak to them direclty. Your arguments are very good.
also a suggestion: I sense some resentment towards them in your letter. by stating "excuse me for your time" , You might not want to use such tactics, it only irritates others, and makes yourself look small, maybe childish. You have an important statement, all you need to do is state it, period. Keep the emotional things out of it. Speak from the heart.

Thank you for your site, and hopefully one day you will be on the web again. I certainly hope so!

Jumping Mouse!

ps also try contacting penguin, and other people who own rights to this beautiful jewel of a book.
I think it should become a gift to the world, and that we all should own the rights to it.

It is truly sad that Gallimard made you erase all of the Little Prince. In fact it is very surprising since he is trying to promote it. Obviously he hasn't read the novel for himself because of his treatment towards you ONLY trying to promote the wonderfullness of this book!

Little prince should become a world heritage already.
Every human should have a chance to touch its beauty.

This evening after a long and stressful day, I was so happy to find out about your web page on The Little Prince, and in few seconds later so sad to see what happened to it.

I can write a lot of unpleasant things in dissappointment and utter angry words at Gallimard and the "poor" world they represent, but I will not.

I love the littler prince and I believe that no one can "buy" or "sell" such a great story. It belongs to all of those who can really feel love, joy, hope, sorrow... like the little prince. I wish you the best in your efforts to share the simple beauty of it with us. I do not have a suggestion at the moment, but I will visit your page again as soon as I have one.

Messagge from reza at arian[at]iname.com

it is not to write about "The Little Prince".
He is my best friend, my prophet, and my religion.
15 years ago, someone said me:
if you read this book with 10, it is interesting.
if you read it with 20, you would be sad.
if you read it with 30, your eyes would be wet.
if you read it with 40, you will cry.
Now, I am 30, and I cry whenever I read it again.

It should be available online and free, for all people.
I am very sorry for Gallimard. They see just with eye, not with heart.

Hi ! My name is Swazeek, I'm a French exchange student and i'm spending this year in the USA. I've known this book forever i think, because anyone in France can tell you about it and it might be the first book you read when you learn how to read in "CP" (the equivalent of the 1srt grade i think).
It has been four months since i've been here. I've been living far away from my own country and my French family. I've had to speak in English all the time (hard when you've studied it for 3 years only !). I've had to go to shool every day, and to make all new friends. Being an exchange student is not easy all the time! But what i think i have been so far is a "poor" copy of the character of "Le petit prince". The little Prince and the fox, the little Prince in the garden with all the rose bushes, the little Prince and the pilot... So many times when i was down i went in my room and read over and over "Le petit Prince".
And here i am, now falling in love with a boy in my American school and i'm afraid to get too much attached to him because this love has no future... And we both know it. Once again i take my favorite book, and there is suddenly this flash in my head when i read about the little Prince and the fox. I suddenly understood it. I was afraid to get involved in this realtionship with this boy, but now i think it's worth: "J'y gagne, dit le renard, a cause de la couleur du ble."
I'm basically telling you my life. And i know some people are going to laugh at this comment full of mistakes and so uninteresting. I'm a teenager as there are so many on earth, but i just wanted to share my happiness today to some people who may understand my story...

Hi, i've just read about the Gillimard incident, what can I say? Such a great publication shouldn't be controlled by people who don't understand (forgive my english) the meaning of what is in their hands. I'm just about to send another e-mail, just to let my anger go away. But, anyway, I hope you read this comment and e-mail me, I would like to talk with someone about El Principito. See you...
